We bring together ETH’s creative minds to structure your challenge, brainstorm solutions or potential applications of new technologies in your corporation, and define concrete next steps.
Hackathons (1 - 3 days) - To build an MVP.
We build a minimum viable product with limited time and money and enable you to test your idea without over-engineering. Our hackathons are a great starting point for an extended feasibility study.
Feasibility studies (3 - 6 months) - To iterate and go deep.
We take an agile approach to explore your challenge in depth and build prototypes to test a broad range of solution and create validated learnings.
Design and Technology Lab (3 months)
In tandem projects, interdisciplinary teams of two (industrial design ZHdK, mechanical engineering ETH) work on a task from industry for three months and jointly develop a meaningful product concept.

Case Example "VarioJect" with Janssen Pharmaceutical
Janssen Pharmaceutical is looking to re-collect and recycle their auto-injector products after use. They tasked the Feasibility Lab to identify the simplest, scalable method to open and disassemble the devices. We identified mechanical weakspots to crack-open the devices and build a prototype disassembly system.
